Process
This was a small project I did over the course of two days. The idea of interactive music really interests me so I wanted to make something that didn't follow the typical formula of an album or music video.
I knew I'd need to do some masking to get the radial part to work. Unity's UI buttons are square by default so I used a mask to get them to be trapezoid shaped.
I was originally going to make the mouse over animations color based. This ended up being trickier than expected so I tried a motion based animation and it turned out to be easier to implement and better looking than just animating the color.
